Beginning Auto Tech

Beginning Auto Technology covers automotive industry standards and terminology, career opportunities and classifications, shop operations and safety, tool identification and usage, diagnostic equipment identification and usage, automotive systems, tires and wheels, hydraulic braking systems, cooling systems, lubrication systems, and preventative maintenance. This class is a pre-requisite to all advanced auto classes.

* 9th graders eligible with instructor approval

* This CDC class is offered with concurrent credit through Front Range Community College.  Corresponding FRCC courses are  ASE101: Auto Shop Orientation, ASE110: Brakes I, and ASE140: Suspension and Steering I.
