Career Wise Internship Recipient

Congratulations to Owen Holt for receiving the Career Wise Internship at REO an Optical Engineering Company. Owen competed with other students in the Denver Metro area for this internship. Owen has taken Welding 1, Welding 2 and will continue at Career Development Center in Welding 3 next school year. Owen will graduate from Longmont High School in May of 2020. 

Automotive students earn medals at Skills USA

Automotive students earn medals and present the street rod that was designed, fabricated and built by CDC engineering technology, welding and automotive students.

First Place Team Fabrication Winners at Skills USA

CDC welding students: Owen Holt, Brogan Leach and Ralphail Shtern competed in the Skills USA competition in Denver. The team placed first in the Team Fabrication category by fabricating the top of a windmill. They will head to Kentucky to participate in Nationals.

Kiwanis club members enjoy a lunch at CDC

ProStart students cater to the Kiwanis club in the Careeer Development Center Sunset Cafe located at 1200 South Sunset Street in Longmont. Lunch is served to the public throughout the month. Check out the menu.

CDC students participate in Film Festival

The St. Vrain Valley Student Film Festival is planned and presented by the Career and Technical Student Organizations of the Interactive Media students from Career Developmet Center and Stage Tech crew from Niwot High School. SVVSFF is open to middle and high school students in St. Vrain Valley, Thompson, and Boulder Valley School Districts.

CDC students attend Longmont Estates Career Fair

Students from the different programs at Career Development Center participated in the Longmont Estates Career Fair. Students from each program had a hands on activity for the elementary students to participate in. ALl the students had a great time.
